A Coin Vibration Motor operates by converting electrical energy into mechanical vibration through the rotation of an eccentric mass. When DC power is applied, current flows through the motor’s coil, generating a magnetic field. This magnetic field interacts with the permanent magnets inside the motor, producing rotational torque that drives the rotor.

Attached to the rotor is an eccentric (off-center) weight. As the rotor spins at high speed, the unbalanced weight creates centrifugal force. This continuously changing force is transmitted through the motor housing, generating vibration that can be felt by the user or device.

Because the eccentric weight rotates through a full 360 degrees, the motor produces uniform vibration force in all horizontal directions, ensuring consistent and reliable haptic feedback regardless of device orientation.

Operating Principle

1. Power Input
DC voltage is applied to the motor.

2. Magnetic Field Generation
Current flows through the coil, creating a magnetic field.

3. Rotor Rotation
The magnetic field interacts with permanent magnets, generating torque that rotates the rotor.

4. Eccentric Weight Rotation
The off-center weight rotates together with the rotor at high speed.

5. Centrifugal Force Creation
The rotating unbalanced mass generates centrifugal force.

6. Vibration Output
The centrifugal force is transferred to the motor housing, producing smooth and consistent vibration.

Key Benefits

✔ Ultra-thin and compact design
✔ Fast response time
✔ Uniform 360° horizontal vibration force
✔ Low power consumption
✔ Reliable and long-lasting performance
✔ Ideal for smartphones, wearables, medical devices, gaming controllers, and portable electronics

In summary, a Coin Vibration Motor generates vibration by spinning an internal eccentric weight, creating centrifugal force that delivers precise, consistent, and efficient haptic feedback in a compact form factor.
